About this Series

Fly Guy was born a few years later when Arnold was doodling on a road trip with his wife, and a fly kept buzzing against the windshield. So he began to draw it. "It suddenly hit me that the one word a fly can say is 'BUZZ,' and that that was also a boy's name. Once that idea came up, I knew it was too good to pass up."

Since its 2005 debut with Hi! Fly Guy, the series has sold over 8 million copies and spawned a nonfiction Fly Guy Presents series as well. The fun begins when Buzz enters his winged buddy in the Amazing Pet Competition. The judges scoff until they see all the extraordinary tricks this little guy can do. After that, it's one zany adventure after another. And at the heart of it all—whether they're fleeing flyswatters or learning about snakes, bees, or dinosaurs—is an unlikely friendship.
