Summary

More
The ancient city of Cielis has been mostly destroyed by the elves, but there are a few defenders remaining, and they are intent on stopping the elf army before it takes over other lands. Banding together with Emily and Prince Trellis, the Cielis Guard sets to work rebuilding its equipment and training for battle.

Emily and Prince Trellis both have access to amulets that give them special abilities. But the amulets are very powerful—more powerful, perhaps, than the people who hold them. And the Voice behind each amulet often seeks to control its wearer. As the elves and the Guard prepare to do battle, Emily and Prince Trellis must figure out how to use the power of their amulets without being overtaken by them. Meanwhile, Max Griffin, the leader of the elf army, is having amulet troubles of his own—troubles that just might destroy him before he destroys the Guard.

The lines between good and evil are blurred in this suspenseful, action-packed installment in the epic series.
