Summary

More
How much is enough? The biggest snake in the jungle doesn't believe in stopping when he's full. He gobbles up every creature he meets, from little mice to a porcupine to a full-grown elephant.

But all those animals in his belly start to rumble around, causing the python to feel sick, and eventually to cough them all up. Feeling better but hungry, he mistakes the tip of his long, slender tail for a lunchtime treat and ends up eating himself in one gulp. Oops!

With its delightful storyline and colorful collage illustrations, this book offers an outrageously funny lesson in restraint.

About the Illustrator

Beloved author and illustrator Eric Carle started drawing when he was a little boy, and he hasn't stopped since. His books continue to delight children year after year with their gorgeous collage illustrations and themes of growth and discovery. He traces the origin of his stories back to nature walks he and father took when he was a child, during which they would stop to observe all the little animals and insects in the forest and discuss how they live and grow. His books have been translated into more than 40 languages and have sold more than 55 million copies.
