Sam's favorite thing about school is George Washington, the class hamster. His desk is right next to George's cage, and he loves watching the hamster spin on his wheel and play with cardboard tubes all day. But Sam thinks George Washington must get tired of his cage sometimes. So when the class takes a trip to the science museum, Sam decides that George Washington should get to come too. But George enjoys his freedom more than Sam thought he would. Will Sam lose his furry friend forever?
