Cap Anderson has never watched TV, eaten pizza, or even had a friend. In fact, he's lived his entire life on a farm commune, where he was home-schooled by his grandmother. But now that his grandmother's in the hospital, Cap must start attending the local middle school, and he discovers that he doesn't exactly fit in there. His ungroomed hair, hemp clothes, and tendency to practice tai chi on the school lawn make him the biggest outcast at school—and the target of a bully.
