About this Series

The Pete the Cat books feature the adventures of a groovy blue kitty who's a match for any challenge, whether it's trying (and failing) to keep his new white shoes clean or negotiating lost buttons. He loves surfing, playing baseball and guitar, spending time with his friends, and trying new things. But in every case this go-with-the-flow feline knows how to keep his cool and make the best of every situation.

Originally self-published by illustrator James Dean in 2008, Pete the Cat leapt to fame after Dean began collaborating with singer-storyteller Eric Litwin, who gave Pete the jazzy laid-back language that so many young readers have come to love.
