Summary

More
Ashley Parker and her brother Darryl think that December is the best month of the year. It's a time for playing outside, snowball fights, and Kwanzaa. Each year, everyone in their apartment building celebrates Kwanzaa together—except for Mrs. Jackson. She never joins in. But this year Ashley and Darryl have a plan to change all that.

To cheer up Mrs. Jackson they'll need music and dancing, good food, good friends, and everything else that makes Kwanzaa wonderful. But most importantly, they'll need a special visit from a surprise guest. If they can pull it off, it will be a true Kwanzaa miracle—and a celebration that no one will ever forget.

At the back of the book there is a discussion about the seven principle of Kwanzaa, inviting readers to participate in the holiday at home.

Embrace the spirit of the season all year round with this hopeful holiday tale.
