Summary

More
A bored 12-year-old kid, stuck at home for the summer with nothing to do, decides to fix up his grandfather's dingy old lawnmower. The next thing he knows, he and his mower are in demand throughout the neighborhood, and they've got more grass than they can handle. One of his clients, a laid-back stockbroker named Arnold, convinces him to hire more employees rather than turn down business. Meanwhile, Arnold invests some of his earnings in the stock market.

Pretty soon, a kid who started with one beat-up lawnmower has 16 employees, a diversified stock portfolio, a stake in a prizefighter—oh, and $480,000 and change. And it's not even August! Unfortunately, his sudden success has made him some very dangerous enemies. Can Lawn Boy figure out how to keep the business together? And what is a 12-year-old going to do with all that money anyway?

Written in a breezy, approachable style, this entrepreneurial comedy puts a kid-friendly spin on the perils of business.
