How It Works for Parents
  1. Shopping the Monthly Selections
  2. Submitting Your Child's Order
  3. Books Arrive at School!
Next Step Step 1. Shopping the Monthly Selections

Scholastic Book Clubs provides monthly flyers to your child's teacher to hand out in class. Each flyer includes dozens of affordably priced books and even specially selected book packs that are just right for your child's reading level.

Review the Book Club flyer

Browse through the flyer with your child, choosing which favorites to order. Be sure to place your order by the due date your child's teacher indicated on the flyer so your child's books will arrive along with the rest of the class's in the monthly shipment.

If you didn't receive a flyer, be sure to ask your child's teacher for one. You can also view the current flyer online.

Sign in to the Book Clubs site

The first time you visit the parent ordering site, you'll need to register. Sign in with the User Name and Password you created and enter your Class Activation Code. You'll then see a personalized message from your child's teacher indicating the order due date. You may also see the teacher's specialized book recommendations.

In addition to the books featured in the flyer each month, you can find an expanded online selection of titles in the Club Shop section. Book Clubs now offers eBook versions of some of the hottest titles.

You can view the reading level of each book (Lexile, Guided Reading, or DRA) to see which books best match your child's reading skills.

Help your child's classroom

Every book you order earns your child's teacher Bonus Points. Teachers use Bonus Points to order books and key supplies for the classroom.

Check to see if your child's teacher has created a Classroom Wish List. If so, you can select any of those titles and donate them directly to the classroom.
